Glaslyn Court

Glaslyn Court opened in 1983 as a residential home for 18 residents, it is now registered as a nursing home for 82 residents. Glaslyn Court has accommodation for 25 residents who require General Medical Nursing Care, under the care and expertise of our Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and Carers.

Situated on the outskirts of the rural village of Gilwern, the spacious grounds give the care home outstanding views over the picturesque heart of the Welsh countryside that make you feel like you’re worlds away.

Glaslyn Court boasts a convenient location in South Wales; just an 8-minute drive to both Abergavenny and Crickhowell. Glaslyn Court has four different units, with each unit under the control of a Lead Nurse and a dedicated team of carers, who have been chosen for their warm, friendly and professional attitudes.

We operate an open door visiting policy, which is currently governed by our Covid guidelines, actively encouraging family visitation. There are also quiet areas that families can use if they so wish.

• Caleb's Court: Located in Glaslyn Court, Caleb’s Court is split into 4 floors, each floor is individually designed and offers spectacular views over the grounds and beyond. Caleb's Court ​contains 37 Elderly Mentally Infirm (EMI) beds.

• Glaslyn Lodge is our functional specialist mental health unit. It provides a high degree of independence, whilst still being supported by the care and expertise of trained Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) and carers.
